Fellowship...

Spending time in fellowship together is very important to the spiritual health of the individual Christian, and to the body of Christ as a whole. Maybe in some other post we'll discuss this in greater detail -- or if you desire you can do so in the comments. As for now I would like to share a few pictures from a golf scramble some of the members of Sunshine participated in reciently.

You may notice in the pictures that it's a little cold for golfing (approx. 43 deg. F) and very windy. We lost several golfers --who intended to play -- because the day before the scramble we had lots of rain. The weather cleared up though -- just enough for us to have a blast in the Lord together.
By the way... these pictures were borrowed -- and I use the term loosely -- from Zoe's blog. Thanks...

I could not agree more...What a great time it was in the LORD, not only for the purpose we were there but it was fascinating to see the LORD clear up what was turning out to be miserable weather. As I think though I am sure the day would have been just as fun if the weather was miserable because we were amongst each other. I always think how great things are when we fellowship but cannot help but think how much greater it would be to have our whole church involved in these type of experiences together.

On Sunshine's post we talked about creating a "safe" environment in which we felt comfortable sharing our struggles and temptations. It is exactly these times of fellowship that help build that trust that we are longing for. We need to encourage each other and hold each other accountable for commiting to being involved and praying that we can become closer as a family.

Thanks for the reminder and encouragement through this post.
